Do you import into a catalog with the option to keep the images in the "current location"?

The check boxes "Erase images after copying" and "Eject card" are unchecked.

As far as I know Capture One does not have support for importing directly from a camera.

The options are to download to computer and import from there or to remove the card and use a card reader (possibly a card reader included with the system if using an SD card).

So this does not seem to be a bug.

It's probably worth pointing out that this is intended to be a User to User forum provided by Phase. As such it is not a recommended path for registering anything that you feel may be a bug. The way to do that is to create a Support Case which Phase will then manage and may ask for further details depending on the problem.

However in this case I think they would just repeat what I have advised since I am just repeating the information from previously posted advice.

    HTH.

    Interesting.

    What's the camera?

And what are the steps required?

I have tried it (on WIndows) with a couple of my Canons and neither wants to play although one that is supported for tethering automatically connects to C1 for that purpose when connected and switched on.

Windows will recognise both of the cameras and make the cards visible through Windows but not through C1.

My camera is a Sony RX100. I simply connect it to my computer, switch it on and open the import dialog in CO.

Maybe your camera has to be set to mass storage USB instead of MTP.

Note : I use a Mac, but I can't see why it would be any different in Windows.

Windows might be different in that I can see the card in mass storage and through the Explorer can right click on a folder and be offered the option to import to a C1 folder. But nothing happens - (it suddenly occurs to me it might be because I have a current session running but it was always my understanding that C1 would not read directly from the camera. I haven't seen anything in the release notes to indicate that has changed .... but .....

If the camera is tether capable Capture will fire up and that precludes the device being seen by C1 as a USB storage device.

But I tried one that can tether and one that can't and neither seemed to want to play.

No problem, I have used card readers for years anyway and have no plans to change for a number of practical reasons.

Nevertheless it's still a subject of interest ....
