C4.x displays images wrong under Vista 64
Tried C1 LE 4.0,4.1 etc. and 4.5. All versions work okay and display properly on Win XP 32 but on the same exact dual boot machine, C1 on Vista 64 incorrectly displays the images including thumbnail previews. The effect is that the mid tones and highlights are really blown in the preview! If I go ahead and process the RAW file it displays correctly in all other viewers. So somehow it seems that the color conversion to the monitor is getting really messed up (I use an I1 Pro generated .icc file for the display from I1 Match). I am trying to use RAW files from Canon 10D and 40D.

I do not have a Vista x64 running at the moment, though I have been in the past and did not encounter your problem. Just for the record, would you be able to try a sRGB profile for the monitor and run CO4.x again? 0 -
I'm afraid I don't know how to fix your issue, but I am running v3.7 and v4.5 on a vista 64 machine with no problems. Perhaps it is a monitor profile issue. Good Luck 0 -
The previous two posts were thoughtful and pretty close to correctly diagnosing what was really going on.
It turns out that C1 did not like the v4 .icc monitor profile that I1 Match v3.6 created. Photoshop, Vista and other apps were okay with the v4 .icc but not C1.
So the fix ended up being to re-calibrate and generate a v2 .icc profile (I had created a v2 profile for Win XP, so that explains why it worked there).0 -
Thanks Fred for the feedback. Learning on the job. 0 -
WOW! I'll second that thank-you, Fred. Explains a couple of minor issues we've had... 0 -
