Have you tried going to the overlay tool and unchecking the "Show" box or selecting "clear overlay" from the drop down menu?

    I have a similar problem.

How can I make a overlay to a single photo?

Presumably you'd like to merge the Overlay and source image into one for output. In the Metadata tab of the Process recipe, check Overlay at the bottom. If you're outputting to PSD, it will be included as a layer. JPG or TIF, it will be "merged" into the resulting image.

Thanks for your answer. Yes... it is exactly like you guessed. I want export the image to a jpeg. And it works (checkbox in Metadata is checked).
But as far as I interpret your answer, there is no possibility to store the overlay permanently for each (some) image individual.
