Newbi question regarding importing pictures

Hi ,

i use the trial version to test the new C1 9.2.1 and have a problem when importing pictures. When i open the import window and select a folder C1 only displays empty frames of all pictures, no pictures are visible; which makes selection a guessing game. When i have imported all pictures they are visible as expected.

Any ideas what went wrong ?

  It's a bit hard to say. What kind of images are you importing? My observation so far is that JPG images appear very quickly, RAW images almost as quickly, TIFFs sometimes do not display for a very long time.

  In the import window, Capture One is using the embedded previews of the files. If there's no preview file available, the software draws empty frames. This can also happen when the card read speed is slow. What camera's raw files are you importing?

  Thanks for the help. I only import images from my harddrive, tif's and jpg's. I use menu meters to show system activity in my menu bar, when i open an import folder system activity is 0, same as harddisc activity. So C1 does nothing to read or display images.
  
  Okay, found a folder where C1 displayed a lot of jpg images, but some not. Opened them in preview and looked at the file info, the one not displayed has only JFIF info, the one displayed has EXIF, JFIF and TIFF info.
  
  Btw, i want to use C1 mostly for working on uncompressed 16Bit Tiff files from a 3D rendering software, they are also not displayed on import but when imported they are there, and editing works pretty well.
