    I totally agree.
I did buy 3 C1pro license maybe 2006 or 2007 and still have 2 Upgrades for them..

If it would cost maybe a little more - they really could put more manpower into it. Just 100 dollar each MAJOR update would make the sum for at least 10 more developers.

Not sure I agree, the multiple thousands spent on a back and the upgrade path is enough I think. Perhaps not trying to compete with the lightrooms and apertures and remembering who the primary users are would be good if resources are tight.

C1PRO is for all those who shoot with digital small format cameras like canon/nikon ..
You - the c1DB user would only profit form it as the db version does not cost a cent as it is coming with the back including all uprades.
You have to understand even that we who uses digital backs might be the kind of people whom this software was created for but those who buy c1Pro for cash are those who make the development easier possible. I use the pro version becouse i use c1 for different kind of cameras - and for a better working condition i would pay for sure. I mean - i pay every two years 300 dollar for my photoshop upgrade.. i would pay maybe 100 for a major update every 2 years alike..
So far i did pay once 400 dollar for a 2 comp license (and some other versions alike as i hold more computer) 3 years ago - and i still are save for the next couple years.
If there is no income - there can be no good product - easy as is.
The amount of people who own a digital back are decreasing as the new small format digital cameras are getting better and better - i mean .. 22 million pixel cover the most needs - especially if you see the quality of higher asa shoots.

If one is happy with the current progress - he simply does not have to upgrade - that are my little 50 cents of though..
