OK, so I want to rename my RAW files after editing but before processing. I could use move to a new folder after editing, open Adobe Bridge, rename them, close Bridge, reopen C-1, do corrections, then process. Yeah, that's an easy and streamlined workflow!

    Hi people,

I wan't to share the method I worked out by applying the suggestions in the Phase One manual. I don't mind learning new keystrokes so I gave it a try.
I like it because I can compare images side by side for composition and keep an eye on sharpness the same time.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You took 400 action pictures and want to end up with 50 good and sharp ones.

The following procedure uses a 'move to' folder, the arrow cursor (in move to mode) and the pan cursor.
You switch to arrow cursur with one keystroke (V), and to pan with (H).

For every burst of pictures do the following:
    - set cursor to pan (H)
    - select the burst of images (click on the first, Shift-click on the last)
    - enlarge interesting ones to 100% on the part that HAS to be sharp (double-click)
    - reset all unsharp ones to ' fit' (double click click)
    - change cursor mode to ' move' (V)
    - click on all pictures that are still in 100% view

If the burst was very long you can cut it in two portions.

    I've been using this lately.

Is there a way to see the ones selected that don't fit in the preview? ie, you select many and it says "and 17 more..." Is there a way to scroll the preview window to those 17 more without making a new selection in the browser? I often have 'bursts' of several dozen that I need to pick a handful from to work on.

    Haven't found it.

In those cases I split the burst.

As you work through your selected images, if you, for example, use the 'Move To' tool to move the keepers and the delete key to get rid of the poor shots you should find the edit window updates itself and displays additional images that you previously selected. Personally, I prefer to switch between two different 'Move To' folders just in case I reject a shot in error.
