performance while clipping

Hi,

when i clip an image the CPU Performance says something like 300% for C1. I have an IMac (Mar 2013) nothing else is running, besides Norton, Dropbox, Timemachine (but not a current task) Is there anything to boost the performance?

  Looks to me like the machine is already working above and beyond it's capabilities.
  Not knowing the specific machine, hardware, OS, software version, the task you are running, and the overall health of the machine or your workflow it is really impossible to comment with anything that can help you get better performance.
  
  I'd suggest you create a support case, include a System Profile and all the details surrounding your usage and we can have a look.
