Nikon D4s Colour Profile
As C1 newcomer I like the product more if compared to LR. My first observations are that C1 is far superior in managing and setting photo' start-parameters (Read: Auto Adjust) "out of the box" than LR!! I was also impressed to see how C1 manages to recover highlights areas in the photo.
However colour profiles are still something C1 Dev Team will need to work on. This is where I still find LR to be better.
Default colour profile for my Nikon D4s camera simply does not work. Skin tones are horrible, reddish, and the photo in general is too contrast. Yes, I can edit colour profile and correct skin tones but I can not afford myself doing it all the time, for every new session....
Anyone out there with the same Nikon D4s camera? Facing same challenges? I wonder how did you solve them?
Any tips would be welcome.
Tnx
Marko

If you have done it once, using the Advanced Color Editor, you can save these changes as an ICC profile, that automatically applies to new incoming pictures. 0 -

Welcome to the "Capture One look". It has been a subject of complaint on here for years, and you're right - having to fix it yourself is unacceptable for a product as costly as Capture One, which makes such a lot of noise about its image quality.
Try using (say) the D3 profile - older profiles are markedly less neon than later ones.0 -

did you try to use a "linear" curve ? certainly it's a matter of preference, but I always use it ...0 -
I've just tried using your tip of Linear Curve for D4s images and am quite impressed as using the Auto feature makes the images more 'contrasty'.
Hmm, food for thought here, I like it, thanks. 😊
Recently I found an article here with regard to using R,G and B Levels rather than using the RGB levels (If that makes sense?) and found it to be a real 'game changer for me as it's improved my images so much.
