You should be able to edit the images. Transfer of adjustments is not possible.
If you cannot adjust your images on Mac, please provide more details regarding your workflow.

    Hello

Yes you can. RAW files are always RAW files.

But if you do modifications on your Windows computer and want them to show up on your Mac you must have 4.5.x on both the Windows computer and the Mac computer.

    Hi,

I really cannot adjust my images on Mac. I just shoot RAW file in Windows DB 3.76 and have done no adjustment in the Windows DB 3.76 (just capture), and then moved the RAW file into Mac DB4.51 for adjustment. All tools (Exposure/Colour...) were grey cannot do anything, just only can be viewed. What details regarding my workflow should be provided?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hi Benny,
What camera or data-back are you using? How do you get your images from camera to Windows computer (for example: tethered). How do you get your images from Windows to Mac computer? In which folder are you storing on the Mac?
These are the details of your workflow I have in mind. I would like to get a better understanding about how you work because the notice 'that it does not work' gives not sufficient insight to help. ("the devil is in the details")

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for your quick response! Appreciate that!

    1) I use PhaseOne data-back H5.
    2) I shoot my images from my camera tethered Windows computer using DB 3.76
Images file were saved in a folder with an extension .TIF (from the meta info in the C1 3.76 , I can see they were RAW file).
    3) Then I copied the image file saved in the folder with an extension .TIF in my USB drive.
    4) I plug this USB drive in my MAC; open the C1 4.51; create a new session and open the image stored in USB drive. The image can be displayed in the 4.51 but cannot be edited.

For your information, the above procedure can be done in my MAC previouosly using C1 3.78. But not in 4.51 now.

    Appreciate for your help.

    Best regards
    Benny

    Hi Benny,
If I read your last post properly, you try to open your images on your Mac from your USB drive. It seems that you don't copy your raw files from the USB drive to your (internal) hard drive. This might be the problem.
Advise: copy your raw images from USB to hard drive. Open from within CO 4.5 the folder. Tell me what you found out!

By the way: CO 4.5.2 is the latest version. Has nothing to do with your problem, but is considered a better working copy than 4.5.1

    Hi Paul,

I copied the images to the Mac desktop from my USB drive. And open from within CO 4.5 but it was still not work!

    Thanks.

    Best regards

Strange. This is becoming a weird science. ☹️
To sort out whether it is the image file or the program/computer, you could place another raw file on your desktop (or whatever folder on your hard drive). If you do not have another brand raw file at hand, you can download some of mine from my iDisk:
    http://homepage.mac.com/paul.steunebrin ... ring1.html
go to M8, DNG raw. I like to hear from you whether you are able to adjust the M8 raw file(s). Likewise, if you want me to open your H5 file, you perhaps can make one available?

    Hi Paul,

I will download some of your file in your iDisk and try in my CO 4.51. Are they captured using Windows 3.X?

I would like you try my H5 images shooting tethered Windows DB 3.76 for you to try on Mac 4.5X. However, only one file is already 14MB. Can you tell me how do I send them to you.

    Appreciate for your help.

    Thank you.

    Best regards

    Benny

    Benny,
The Leica M8 files you can download from my iDisk were captured non-tethered: from memory card, through USB card reader to Mac (using PhotoMechanic as downloader and renaming file names).

You can send larger files through You Send It ( ). It is free up to 100 MB transmissions. You need my mail address. You can leave a message on the contact page of my web site (in my profile). Neglect the Dutch language. I will reply with my mail address.

    Hi Benny,
Received your H5 files (beautiful colors by the way, those flowers) and opened with CO 4.5.2 Pro (Mac), CO 4.5.2 DB/Pro (Win) and CO 3.7.9 Pro (Win). The verdict is: there is no H5 support in CO 4.5.x, either on Win or Mac. The files are treated like RGB files, showing only the built-in RGB image in 764x508 px, as the metadata tool reports. In CO 3.7.9 Pro (Win) I had no problems.

I think you have a valid issue here. Please contact your dealer or Phase One directly through their support site.
