    I too thought I had the same problem. I am running on a macbook pro (which works fine) When I installed on my G5 tower no images appeared when I selected a folder, at least I thought. I left the computer for a little while and they eventually produced thumbnails. My guess is that Capture 4 is so slow on a non intel machine that it is almost unusable.

    Thanks a lot. That certainly answers my question, although it's not really what I wanted to hear. I tried it on an Intel-based Mac Mini and it's working fine there, so I guess you're right, it's useless on a G5 Mac. It's odd though because the beta version did work on the G5. I think Phase One should indicate in their marketing that this app is for Intel Mac's only.

    So now I have one more question. Have I wasted an activation by installing and activating this app on the G5? I understand there is a deactivation process, but will that give me back the activation, or am I basically out of luck?

    I believe that if you need to deactivate on that computer so you can activate on a new computer start a support case with phase one support and provide your serial number, license and email. They can and generally will do it for you . That has been my experience. An alternative is to contact your sales rep and they can get it done for you. Hope that helps.

    Yes that does help. Thanks a lot. It would still be nice to hear from Phase One as to why the app won't run on a G5 machine.

    Just like to add that I'm having exactly the same issues and since I have more ram and drive space plus better monitors hooked up to the G5 would like to keep using as my prime machine. So why doesn't it seem to work on the G5. Both have the same OS 10.5? (Installed fine on my MacBookPro.)

    Since this is primarily a user-to-user forum, I suggest to log a support case and explain the issue to Phase One.
    A lot of G5 users are very happy with CO4 performance, so it might have to do with your configuration as well (maybe OS X 10.5, for example).
