Is 5.2.1 slower for you?

Capture One creates and uses a number of supporting files, that can slow it down over time, in particular after an update. In this article you find details about these files:
    http://www.phaseone.com/en/search/artic ... nguageid=1
I clear those files, and next time CO5 starts they will be created again. In particular of interest here are the session file (Capture One.col50), the preference file (com.phaseone.captureone.plist) and the batch queue.

The redundant update message is a known bug. Cancel the update check in the Preferences if it bugs you.

    Hi Paul,
I always make sure all C1 support files are cleared/deleted before I start processing.
By slow I mean like a lag after every adjustment made? sort of a momentary system freeze

    Dave..

Hi Dave, I have not experienced this with 5.2.1 in particular, but am familiar with it in general. Part of the refresh/reset I did not mention in the previous post and may be of interest in this particular case is a refresh of the process recipe(s).

General OS X maintenance (defragmentation, periodic cron jobs, repair permissions: everybody has their favorites) could help as well.

    Thanks again Paul,
The lag's do seem longer than normal to me, perhaps it was just a bad day for my Mac.
    Dave...
