Any known convert to DNG disadvantages prior to processing?
Is there any known disadvantage to converting my CR2 files to DNG prior to processing with CaptureOne Pro5?
I am interested in the quality of output ONLY and will work around the metadata pass through issues until they are resolved, hopefully in a near future update.
The functionality of DNG files with everything contained has always been appealing. However, I don't see any advantage in outputig linear DNG's post processing.

I find C1 doesn't handle DNG very well at all IMO - I get better colours by using my original CR2 files, the DNG's just don't look right.
V5 is better than V4 IMO but still doesn't get it quite right.
Best thing is to experiment yourself and see how your cameras images are handled.0 -

for example C1 does not correct PF/CA for DNG files, unless something changed recently...0
