Bob, from what I have understood from earlier postings here, older Capture One 3.x LE licenses are bound to one platform (i.e. Win or Mac). One can buy a cross-platform upgrade for these for $59 if I am correct (details on Phase One site).

More recent LE licenses are cross-platform. This typically applies to those licenses that were provided with a camera (Leica M8) or memory card (SanDisk Extreme III).

You can always try to activate your CO4 Mac installation with your current license to find out.

I am a registered owner of C1 LE with 5 activations left in my "account".

I just switched from using a Windows PC to an iMac.

How do I go about upgrading to V. 4 for the Mac? What key do I need to activate the upgrade?

You can read this thread for the details, but I have contacted Phase One about this same issue and they have told me I must buy the $59 "cross-grade" to activate 4.0 on my Mac.

Even though new 4.0 customers get a multi-platform license, if you (like me) bought a Windows copy of 3.x, then your free upgrade is only good for a Windows activation of 4.0. You must pay for activating 4.0 on a Mac.
