C1 Pro Workflow Suggestions Needed
I am new to C1 Pro and am looking for suggestions for a new RAW workflow. Here are my goals:
1. Download and Rename RAW captures in date order folders
2. Make RAW adjustments in C1 Pro and save these adjustments
3. Categorize images through keywords or some other method.
***4. Use an image browser / Database program to browse my RAW images and see the images as they look after my C1 RAW adjustments.*** (Most important point.)
5. Then, when it is available, I will probaby switch to DNG, which should make this much easier. I hope!
Thanks for your suggestions.

patrickbcox,
1) You can name the Session folders by Date easily enough. Renaming can take place using the Phase One Media Reader which can add a Prefix to image file names. You can also rename images in Capture One under each Thumbnail or as a batch rename. See:
http://forum.phaseone.com/viewtopic.php?p=5991#5991
2) All image adjustment data is written to the .C1w or Thumbnail file.

The above link is to a Forum post where we discuss this in detail. It should help you out.
The Thumbnail / Work files are tagged .C1w and are saved along with the Preview files [ .C1p ] within their default location of C:\\Program Files \\ Phase ONE \\ Capture One PRO \\ Previews
Files for All Sessions are kept in this location.
The files remain there and any further adjustments are updated and saved. When a Session is removed from Capture One, they will need to be saved and archived.
See the Tips&Tricks article:
http://www.phaseone.com/Content/Softwar ... tings.aspx
3) In PRO, pulldown Collection and select Show IPTC Tracker information here you can build and save templates and enter IPTC data that stays with the processed image files. +4) Many have found iView Media Pro to be a great organizational tool to use with Capture One.
5) DNG support is planned for version 4.0 Capture One due 2Q 2006
