Forcing C1 6 to not use the "pictures" folder on Mac

Hello,

I have my preferred file structure and am frustrated that C1 keeps creating a file in my Mac pictures folder. I use two RAW editors and for backup reasons I need these libraries all in one place.

Is there a way to stop C1 from using the "pictures" folder? In lightroom, I can create one central location for all my sessions, this is easy to manage.

  CO 6 creates the default session folder structure including session file (Capture One.col50) in de Pictures folder of your Mac. You can not change that. Question is, do you need to? I assume you do not use sessions. Note that you do not have to store images in the default session folders.
  
  You can totally bypass and ignore the default session. You never ever have to go there. You can create a new default session on your preferred disk and use that to open any folder on your images disk (although you can use the original default session for the same purpose).
  
  Don't confuse the Library concept of Lightroom or Aperture with Capture One's. In CO 6 the Library is a tool, not a collection like in the other programs. In CO 6 speak, you can use sessions, but can neglect it as well.
  
  However, if the default session still bugs you anyway because of its persistent and default location, you can move or redirect the Pictures folder to a new location at OS X level on a different disk, but I don't think it is necessary to do that in your case.

  My workaround is simply not to use C1 to import images.
  I use Photo Mechanic to import images (its really better suited for this anyway). PM is also used to sort,tag, and keyword all images.
  I then use C1 for editing. Works fine for me
