    Paul,

Yes, you can do that without problems from the Finder.

I just did this two days ago. Simply renamed the catalog file in the finder. But when I looked into the package with 'Show Package Contents' I noticed that the previous catalog name still resided there and was not changed even after starting C1 several times and running the catalog verify. This made me suspicious about possible future problems by simply renaming the catalog file.

I choose to be on the safe side and therefore exported the 'old' catalog into a new one.

    Hi Andy,

I am aware of the fact that the catalog database is not renamed when you rename the folder. To be entirely on the save side, rename the db file according to the folder, so they are identical.

Of course, your workflow is fine too.

Thank you Paul for your advice. Makes it much easier and faster as the previews don't have to be generated again for a new library and one doesn't have to care about hd space while doubling the C1 library.
