Import Lightroom catalog Import failed

When using the "import lightroom catalog" function in 8.1, i get an "Catalog import failed, Unable to read the catalog file".

I have tried with several catalogs and all has the same problem.

Anyone tried anything similar, and perhaps has any solutions?
Maybe anyone knows about any error logs i might look at?

  Is it a Lr4 or Lr5 catalog? Can you optimize the catalog before import?

  It is a LR5 catalog, and i think i found the "feature"
  
  If you click the "Return/Enter" keyboard key, when the import dialog that tells you what it can and cannot import,
  then it does not work and i get the error.
  If i click using my mouse on all dialogs, it works !?!
  
  So now it is importing, but a very strange "feature"......
