C1 4.8.3 freezes

I down loaded the up date today 4.8.3
All I get is it quits or freezes
Have to restate my computer every time I try to use C1
What is WRONG
I have an IMac w OSX 10.5.8

  Do you have an iMac with an Intel processor (Core2Duo or something) or with a G4 or G5? Best to have Intel Mac.
  You might want to uninstall 4.8.3, download it again or its predecessor 4.8.2 from the download archive and try again. Instructions for uninstalling CO4:

  Same issue. I've spent 3 hours trying to process 300 images with 5 restarts, hard shutdowns, and a boatload of frustration.
  
  I appreciate the link as to how I can uninstall and the software but where can I download a previous version?
