USB-C Tethering and P-30+ with Mamiya RZ
Hello everyone - I recently bought a new MacBook Pro 13'' (2016) with USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) ports. How can I tether my P-30+ back to it?
I have a FW 400-800 cable. I plug that into a FW 800 - Thunderbolt 2 adaptor. I then plug that into a Thunderbolt 2 to USB-3 adaptor. When I plug that into the computer, the back get's some power. Enough that the red and green lights turn on but not enough to have the back fully functioning. I tried plugging the computer in but that didn't work. I don't have a battery for my back. Any advise, ideas or setting changes would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

There simply isn't enough power coming from the Macbook. You will need a battery and set the power mode in the back (to "battery") to support the tethered connection.
Or get a hub. OWC have a good rep but there are others.0
