Question about image import
I have a Capture One v. 12 file with .iiq images that have been modified in C1. I wanted to add a .tif file to the session, so I imported it. What happened is that it imported the .tif file and got rid of all the .iiq files. When I re-imported the .iiq files, all of the adjustments were gone. Many hours of work went into the adjustments, so I am hoping there is a way to recover them. Is there?

I think you may be looking in the wrong place. There is a recent imports section in the Library tab. Typically (though you can change this) it automatically selects the collection for the most recent import when you import images. So it suddenly looks as though your newly imported images are all there are. But if you look down the list of recent imports, you should be able to see the ones you imported recently. And in any case they should still be there in whatever physical folder they were after they were first imported.

Hello Ian,
Thanks for your reply. I took a look at the Library tab for the first time just now. I don't see a "recent" or "latest" import line anywhere. I also don't see a way to add the tool. There are:
Session Folders /Capture, /Selects, /Output Location, /Trash
Session Albums /All Images, /Five Stars
Session Favorites
System Folders
That's all. Am I missing something? As far as I can tell, when I imported that single TIFF image, all my edits on the other 35 images in the session were deleted and the images themselves removed from the session.
Best regards,

Nothing else in here?
Maybe "Untitled Album"?
When you IMPORT to a C1 session (no matter where you might deliver the files) you should see an Album automatically created usually with this generic name. You can rename it later if you wish.
Each batch of imported files (should you run separate imports for any reason, will have their own Album. So you might also get Untitled Album 1, 2, 3 etc. if you have not already renamed.
If you do not see this Album (the equivalent of "recent imports" in a catalogue) then 2 possibilities I can think of are;- You have opened a new session rather than an existing session;
You did NOT import to the open session by may have simply navigated to the folder in which the images are stored and edited them from there.
This last option is perfectly fine as a way of working if that is what you have done but you should probably add the folder with the images to the session by making it a "Favourite".
Now, IF you worked on the images in their original location (memory card or some other place on a system disc?) they would not appear in the session until the location Folder is made a 'Favourite' OR you do actually import them, together with the edits you made which should be in sub folders saved alongside the original files.
It all sounds a bit complicated but is far easier to do than to describe in words.
The first thing is to see what you can find. I would suggest picking one of the iiq file names and making a search of your system to see what turns up. You may find there are 2 copies of it. Or there may be only one. It's difficult to estimate at the moment based on what we know so far.
HTH.
