multiple windows/dual screening
does anyone know if its possible to have two windows of capture 1 open of the same shoot?
I'm trying to project (using a data projector) a live preview of the shoot for the client without them having to be on set.
my problem is that the display needs to be mirrored but then our shoot screen runs at a much lower resolution (same as the projector).
Does anyone have any ideas here?
thanks

Hello
in this case you have to run mirrored.
Capture One support dual screen (Apple + 2) but this is made for working with two monitors so you will have thumbnails on one and preview on the second.0 -
Andrew - depending on how much speed you've got, another solution is to run an older version (eg - 3.7.4) while capturing to 3.7.6. However, in all likelihood this will NOT solve your "speed" problem, as you will have 2 versions rendering thumnails as you go. But just in case you DO try:
1) Make sure to start-up 3.7.6 FIRST - the back will tether to whichever version is started first.
2) Once fully connected, start 3.7.4. Set up a session with the capture folder set to the same as in 3.7.6.
3) Thumbnails will render in the 2nd version as well. (I was taught this as a workaround to check focus; the thumbnails will NOT auto-advance in the secondary version).
4) WARNING WARNING: You also must be careful of the order you QUIT the programs in; if you quit the "capture" copy first, then when you quit the secondary it will update the metadata (curves, color balance, etc.) that are last-active in the 2nd version.
5) If you disconnect, the pain-in-the-butt is that you must repeat steps 1 & 2, or else it will kick to the older version. (Also, if you get an error and it crashes, you'll have to re-start, quit the 2nd copy, quit the 1st - to retain settings - and THEN do 1& 2 over again...etc.)
So yeah - this is probably a lousy suggestion, as it (probably) won't save you speed, plus you'll have to do twice as much work. But hey - it's something to play with if you've got down-time - see how it works out.
