Nikon D3X tethered shootng
I am having problems in shooting tethered with a D3X, to my Mac Book Pro. Any Idea what may be causing Capture One from seeing the camera.
Thanks

Because D3X tethering is not supported yet, you have difficulties to connect it up to CO 4.6. See also the release notes. 0 -
Unless I have missed a update Capture One v4.6 supports Nikon D3 tethered but as yet not the D3x, I hope this will be very soon as I have a D3x and would love to get it connected..
I have used a D3 tethered and this worked well.
As of early January you are able to process D3x files, this works very well and is much better than Nikons own software which was a real pain..
If anyone from Phase reads this, any idea when we can plug a D3x in ??
Cheers

hi andy,
i can't help you with your answer, but i would like to ask how you develop nikon D3 file in terms of unsharp mask, aberration ecc...
i work as digital operator in italy since two years ago, frequently with capt one version 3: i just bought a nikon D700 that i use with my ai-s lenses from the '80s.
unfortunately i can't use the tethered shooting because i can't set the camera in mirror up position when i'm with capt one!
i hope the soon D3x will be added!
all the best

Hopefully in the next couple months. This is dependent on Nikon releasing an SDK that supports the D3X which had not happened as of the release of 4.6. 0 -
And for the non-initiated, SDK stands for Software Development Kit, the tools a (camera) manufacturer provides to 3rd party developer to use the camera's proprietary technology and incorporated it into their (3rd party) products.
Thanks Jon for the heads up.0 -
Just been sold this to shoot teathered with a D2X any ideas when we might actually be able to use this? 0 -
Tethered support for the D2x remains unknown. Nikon did not support it in their current SDK and it is not likely that they will in a future version... they seem quick to drop legacy support. 0 -

Are there some good news? I have a Job with the Nikon D3x on 19. February and on 10. March. I don't want to buy Nikon Camera Control Pro only for a few weeks.0 -

Doesn't it have a 30-day trial? 😉0 -
HI,
I'M GOING TO INDIA, WITH A NIKON D700 AND A D3X: HOPEFULLY THE PHOTOGRAPHER WON'T WORK WITH D3X TETHERED, OTHERWISE I'LL HAVE TO GO THROUGH NIKON SOFTWARE. I'M GOING TO UPDATE FROM TIGER TO LEOPARD AND TO ADD C4PRO, VERSION 4.6, RIGHT?0 -
Yes, Paolo, that is right and please mind lower case characters next time (probably accidental upper case). Good luck with shooting in India. 0 -
Is there any way of shooting the d3x tethered yet? Urgent!!!! 0 -
Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 -> Hot folder -> C1 Pro 0 -
Thanks,
that's what i finally did!
