Even Phase One Thinks the keyboard shortcuts are in V4...NOT
I actually am quoting someone from another forum. (I hope he doesn't mind me quoting him...) He was at a show in NYC and talked to someone at the Phase One booth regarding the V3 keyboard shortcuts being left out of V4:
"Today at Javits, I sought out the folks from Phase One/Capture One on this issue. They mention that v4 will support it as well. "Show me please as I'm totally in the dark on it please."
They open up v4, and sure enough, he goes into the preferences only to find out that v4 will not support the old key board short cuts like v3 does. Suprise!"
So maybe that's why they most important keyboard shortcuts got dropped out for V4, Phase One thought they were already there! 😂
The good news is that Phase One finally came to their senses and put the old keyboard shortcuts back. That only took a couple years.

I have my doubts about the validity of this quote. I was at the show at the Javits center today too, and the only version they had for demonstration was the soon to be released CO 5.0. I did not see version 4 at all. 0 -
Did they give a timetable for release of v5? [quote="Paul1921" wrote:

I guess calling the people at Phase One "idiots" is considered "foul language".
The truth hurts...[quote="Paul1921" wrote:

You don't think any of their demo machines had version 4 loaded at all? Of course they wouldn't be showing it when the whole point is to show the latest and greatest, but I would assume that someone would have version 4 loaded, "just in case."0 -

Paul: Don't have any doubts about the validity of that quote, as I'm the one being quoted. It's accurate, and I made it on the DWF after attending the show at Javits on Thursday 10/22.
I went to PhaseOne, asked them is it true that they finally restored the shortcuts as in v3.x?
I was told by the gent there that you can cusgtomized the short cuts in v4 to work like v3.x. Oh yeah, please show me as I'm totaly in the dark about that one. He launced v4, went into preferences, only to find that it is not possible to customize the short cuts for the most important functions (exposure, contrast, kelvin, and tint) He spoke to a co worker about it. (It's a good thing to "know" your product at a trade show.)
Then he launched v4.5, which he told me was actualy v5. He went to prererences and there in the window that was open where the shortcuts for exposure, contrast, and saturation towards the bottom of the window. More were hiddend beyond the window boundry I assusmed. So the short of it was that I was told that yep there there just like v3x. Well silly me making the assumption that they also had included kelvin and tint. You know what they say about making assumptions. 🤭
I assumed that they were also included, but should not have. Lesson learned
Thier fix is half baked at best.

I think the problem is that no one at Phase One has a clue about these shortcuts. I was excited to use them in v5 so I downloaded and quickly realized that kelvin/tint were not included. I put in a support case and he told me that they no one has ever asked for the ability to adjust Kelvin/tint via shortcut keys. It would be a new feature! I then went back to 3.7 and the help file doesn't even mention Kelvin/Tint in the shortcuts. The support guy told me how much slower it would be to use them when doing a WB. I think they are just clueless. 0
