Losing capture settings of raw files
This happened to me twice already.
First time, I was about to backup my RAW files to a DVD-R. As usual I created 2 folders on the DVD-R, one for storing the RAW files, the other for storing the settings files(C1W files). So I ran C1Pro to save those settings to the archive folder mentioned and realized that all images somehow looked untouched. Further checking showed that their settings had all lost. At that time there were 500+ RAW files that I was going to backup and I just didn't want to bother retouching them. So I ended up burning a DVD-R without any of the settings files.
The 2nd time, which was yesterday. I've had my pictures tuned and outputted to JPG files already. On 2nd look I don't like the results so I ran C1Pro to retouch them again. What I found was some of the settings were lost. For example, an image has its CC, CS and Sharpening settings retained but the EC and Whitebalance were lost and reset back to \"as shot\". There were 39 images in total and they were all in the same session. Another session, which was retounched last week, is perfectly fine and has all its settings retained.
As far as I know C1Pro auto-saves all capture settings when you close the application. Am I wrong? I've been using C1Pro for about 6 months, like it and never really bother clicking the saving option in the pull-down menus because I know the settings retained as last touched.

arcticwind,
The SAVE options are in the Preferences.
Be sure to check your Preference settings for this.
File > Preferences > Save Options tab
Save on Exit and Save when changing Collection are good settings to have. The other choices can affect performance.
You can also use the Archive tool to save all settings.
Image Adjustment Data
These data are saved within the Thumbnail / Work files are tagged .C1w and are established and saved along with the Preview files [ .C1p ] within their default location of:
C:\\Program Files \\ Phase ONE \\ Capture One PRO \\ Previews
Files for All Sessions are kept in this location.
The files remain there and any further adjustments are updated and saved. When a Session is removed from Capture One, they will need to be saved and archived.
**If you are using another location for the Preview Cache BE SURE you have full Read&Write access to this location.
