Batch rename one image
So if there is just one image in a folder I can't use the Batch rename (right click on image) because there is only rename, so I can't use my file presets.
Is there a way to rename just one image with the same batch rename rules?

Hmm, good question.
As far as I known there is no way to trick CO8 into the batch rename tokens for a single image. I tried with a clone variant, but to no avail.
It sounds stupid, but a dummy image in your folder or collection...?0 -
I work in a Session. Currently I move that one image to a folder where I have another that is not yet renamed and rename it. Or I make a dummy copy (phyiscal) and rename them.
Normally this never happens, because I rename on import. But I had some very old data and then some folders with just one image.
Might open a support case for that, can't be too hard to add that functionality0 -
But is it hard, on rare occasions that you need to do it, to rename one file manually?
Why use a more complex system when there is no need to?

Complex to what? I rename my files with the date and time from the exif info. I am not going hunting down that info to manually rename it when there is an automated system already there. It just has to work on a single file too. 0
