Slow. Desperately slow.

The fastest solution would be to create support case and provide the support team your System Profile. With that information we'll likely be able to get you back to a normal speed.

My performance is very slow too! I submitted a support case and was told:

"The speed of the drive is important but not as much as the connection protocol as anything less than USB 3.0 will suffer in performance due to the bottleneck of data transfers. Even with some faster connections like eSata or Thunderbolt, you may experience speed restraints based on the permissions of the drive or format."

How do I check permissions? My HD is connected by Firewire 800 and the CF reader is a normal USB 2 connection. I cannot find a Firewire 800 CF card reader; they all seem to be USB 2 type.

But it is slow in getting ready to work with new files.

    This is proxy-building again, yes?
