Dead Pixels and uncooperative NR defaults with 5D
I'm using the latest version of C1 4 Pro, 4.6.3 with 3 5D's (I shoot weddings, I use two, assistant uses one) and I'm having some very consistent and slightly frustrating problems, despite how much I love C1.
1. All 3 5D's, one which JUST got back from Canon for a new sensor and mirror box, show a pretty fair amount of dead pixels on any image past ISO 800, and only in C1. DXO, ACR and Aperture all map them out. My current work around is to open the processed images in DXO (which I hate) and apply the noise reduction in there with everything set to zero. It takes out the dead pixels perfectly, but I'd like to skip this!
2. When I change the default settings on both the sharpening and noise reduction module the sliders reflect my changes in subsequent images and sessions, but the images reflect the original settings until I move the sliders slightly. My work around has been to copy and paste settings onto the whole session, which in the case of NR has to be different for different ISO's. Kind of annoying.
3. I can't copy and paste ICC profiles. I've tried everything, it just doesn't work.
I'm using a brand new 24" iMac with 4 GB RAM and an external 23" Apple Cinema Display with the latest version of OSX. I've searched the forums for these problems and others seem to have these problems but I've been unable to find a solution or even acknowledgement of any of these problems.
Any help Phase one?

Can you elaborate on point 3 (ICC Profiles). I do not understand what you mean or try to achieve. 0 -
certainly. When I change the ICC profile under "Base Characteristics" and then copy and apply the settings to another photo, the profile does not paste across. I've tried it with both the lift and stamp tool and the adjustments tab. 0 -

Or the Camera Profile is not in the Copy list, or it is but not applied. Suggested checks:
1: when you give the Copy Adjustment command, is the Camera Profile selected on the list on the Adjustments tool tab?
2: if not, check it and Copy again, then Paste.
Which profile do you want to copy? Which raw file type/model?0 -
Checked that, it is selected in the adjustments tab, still no go. I'm trying to apply the BW profile and sometimes the 5D2 profile to 5D files. I remember this function used to work a while ago, I'm not sure if a new version or my new computer brought about the change. 0 -

Copy/Paste BW profile is not working. Is a known bug. You could trick CO4 in that you make it think it is a Canon profile. Then it will work. For this to happen, you must copy and rename the profile with the camera name in it (both 5D2 and 5D). Profiles are part of the application package (ctrl-click, Show package contents).0 -
that worked! Thank you so much. I wish there was such an easy fix for the other two things. 0
