Importing sidecar XMP files

I still am having trouble getting MP to read XMP files. I send out my initial RAW processing and they send back sidecar XMP files I then tweak the ones I want to, currently in LR because I couldn't use C1 on these w/out starting from scratch. I was excited to see MP supported XMP files, but I can't get any of the adjustments to show up on the file, either as a sidecar XMP or if I convert to DNG.

Is this still not supported?

  Can you clarify what you mean by "adjustments'? IPTC Data or Image Preview changes?
  If the changes you have made to the image are all saved in a sidecar file then they will not show in the Media Pro thumbnail. Only adjustments made to RAW files edited in Capture One will show in this manner, showing the adjustments saved in a sidecar file (we use .COS as appose to an XMP) without changing the RAW.
