another 9.2 release issue, import on synchronize not working
I've reported this, but will mention in case you are judging whether to use 9.2 at this point.
Would have to say I didn't notice this problem in the Betas. I'm pretty sure but not positive i used the ability then.
What happens is so:
- you add files to folders already in the Folders area, or you add a folder there
- you attempt right mouse-Synchronize Folder
- the Synchronize dialog comes up, indicates the number of new files
- on ok, the Import dialog comes up. But it is empty, has no files to be selected. No thumbnails naturally either.
I reinstalled 9.1.2 latest over the top, rebooted as is required, and then synchronize returned to working. However, a bug here too, as only a few, one or two, of the Import files show thumbnails. Once the files are in, they show normally with selection thumbnails and as their full view.

Ok, had a rapid response from Phase One Support, including a workaround much appreciated.
They found:
-- that they could replicate the issue immediately, thus passed it on to development for a fix
-- that the problem is actually in the Import window for this case, not the Synchromize itself
Thus, if you uncheck the box for 'Show importer' on the Synchronize dialog, Synchronize then works fine.
I've gone back to 9.2, as I like its new features, particularly around Color, and haven't run into any of the other difficulties there may seem to be.0 -
Okay thanks for the note, I will try it tomorrow when I have bit more time. 0 -
Same problem here.
I'm wondering how they could manage to kill a working feature. OK, I have the answer (always the same) : lack of regression testing. A common practice now since letting the user doing the job is more economical.0
