Unable to import files into a new catalog

But I can import files to an existing catalog.
Can't view .tif(s), (3-25mb range using the Light table feature. Crashes every time.
OSx.6.3, MacPro 2007 & MacBook Pro.
Crash report submitted each time.
Keep checking for an update to address the problem, nothing yet.
Will file another support case later today.

  I found that I couldn't do anything with the program (such as trying to view a file) until it was completely finished. Once it was finished, I have not had another crash - as long as I am patient when I bring in new files or folders.

  I have downloaded a Try before I buy copy of MediaPro. It installed perfectly, opens but does not import files. After a couple of files it crashes. Presently my stuff is stored in Lightroom and I am importing from the windows folders holding the images.
  I completely removed MediaPro and Windows.Net Framework 4 and reinstalled newly downloaded copies. When importing the CR2, XML and JPG files I get an "Unexepected error crash"
  
  Anyone have any suggestions???

  For existing folders, I find that the "update folder now" command works well. My import command is quite flakey.
  
  Try the "update folder now" - via a right click on Windows.

  No dice for me either.. software is in no way ready for release.. unless you are a Mac user perhaps which seems to be a bit better. I'll wait this one out for now...
