Images turn black with dotted line around
Problem 1. Captured images are on the disk. Several have turned black and have a dashed white line around them. When clicked (no modifier) CO7.1.1 says 'no image selected'.
I read the notes for Windows & tried setting the OpenGL settings, but that does nothing.
Running on an iMac, previous generation, OS X 10.7.5, 3.4 GHz i7 with 16Gig of ram.
Problem 2 - have an image which shows no preview in grid view - just takes up space (perhaps the preview is completely transparent - including the metadata normally below it). Selecting the empty space displays the image (but not in the grid view).
Note: This image and the invisible ones with lines around them have small thumbnails in list view, but the thumbnails are indented from the left margin.
How can I fix this?
(also, CO 7.1.1 hangs frequently with spinning ball. Would like to know if this is a known problem or if my computer is sick)
Thanks,
Mike

It could be any one of these or some combination. If you follow these steps and in this order it should get you fixed up.
- Make sure you have updated to 7.1.1. If you haven't, do a full clean install. If you have but didn't start clean from prior version of 7, delete it and all of the support files and make a clean install.
Delete the following if you are attempting a clean install:
HD/users/(your user)/library/preferences/com.phaseone.capturone7.plist
HD/users/(your user)/library/Application Support/Capture One
Fair warning - If you trash the application support folder and don't have your workspaces, styles, keyboard layouts, etc backed up somewhere, you are going to lose them. If you are worried about this, make a copy of the Capture One folder and place it somewhere outside of the path above for later recovery of your personal goodies
- Once you have your clean install, make a new session. It is always a good idea to use a fresh session with a new install or new version of C1Pro.
Try this and if you are still stuck, holler back and I'll see what else I can do for you...0
