Files don't show up in Output location
I'm using a recipe of Tiff 16bit, uncompressed. on Nef files shot on on a D810 Nikon. They show up in Batch queue and history but wont show up in the output location. I've double checked my paths.
If I use Tiff 8bit, no problem. Where am I going wrong?

Where do they show up?
If you don't know, stop Capture One and use Windows explorer to search your disk(s) for one of the missing files, you know what filename(s) to search for. Showing up in an unexpected location is likely a problem different from not being produced/stored at all.0 -
They are showing up in the batch queue. Is this a cache somewhere? If so I'm missing it. 0 -

Have you tried clicking Start/Stop?0 -
To what end? Any other batch process works fine. Tiff 16bit doesnt. I've cleared my cache. I've cleared the batch queue as well as the history. As well, I've verified the path to the output folder. And just in case I'm suffering from hallucinations, I've reinstalled CO and created a new session. None of these things cured the issue.
It does remain for me to do a search for where the batch queue resides (Windows 7). Perhaps I'm missing something glaring?0 -

I do not think that will be useful. The batch queue is just an internal (to C1) list of image-(file)names selected for processing. Those image-(file)names are NEFs in your case. When processed, each image-(file)name is removed from the batch queue (and added to history). The NEF files proper are not moved nor modified.
If the processing runs (your history indicates yes?) and TIFs are created, TIFs may still end up in a location other than the one you expect. My suggestion was to search for the resulting TIFs on your disk(s), not to search for the batch queue.
Do you have only a single selected (higlighted) and enabled (checked) recipe, or do you investigate a more sophisticated regime of processing multiple recipes in one run?0 -
I'm just running one recipe at a time 0 -

You have to setup the output folder in two different options, one of which is not obvious. The programmer does not seem to know how to use one setting for multiple uses. (its called stuctrure!) crappy programming.
SJPRG, can you elaborate a bit. Im intrigued but I don't understand. Thanks!0 -

OK, then to sum up what I think you have told us so far
A) You have only one recipe highlighted and have also checked that one only
B) You have cleared batch queue and also cleared history
C) You select one or more NEFs
D) You click Process and selected NEFs get listed in the batch queue
E) NEFs are processed according to recipe, NEFs are removed from batch queue and added to history
F) TIFs do not show up in the expected output location
It is possible to click the stop button to halt processing, then clear the batch queue to abort the remaining files or to click start to continue. I do not remember the circumstances, but I believe at least one version of C1 could get confused about the the current start/stop state. Processing would not continue past item D in the list because C1 was internally in the processing stopped state. It may have been related to application restart while in the stopped state or some such.
You get history entries, which to me indicates item E is executed. If you get history entries, but entries are not removed from batch queue, that could perhaps be due to one of multiple recipes not being properly executed, but you have only one single recipe selected and checked.
I am back at square one, either the TIFs are not produced at all or they are produced, but end up in an unexpected location. Unexpected location on disk can be tested by searching your disk(s) for the TIFs, I would just use Windows Explorer for that. Unexpected location not on disk would be a variant where TIFs are produced, but then disappear into thin air, likely because C1 is unable to write to the expected location. That should however; trigger an error message.
It may be time for a support case.0 -
Under "Export Variant" > "Export Location", At bottom, "Export Recipe > "File" > "Root Folder" "Saved Pictures" Click large Arrow and chose folder again. "Export". 0 -

Sorry, where is that? Do you mean in "Output Location" under "Process Recipes"? I am noticing an inability for the software to remember where I am and which session I'm working in. Still, after scouring my entire computer, 16 bit files are definitely not showing up.
I don't have time for this. I have to process these files. I'm being picky wanting them in 16 bit for as much information as I can retain, but for the time being I'll process them as 8 bit and call it a day. The nefs are still there if I want to return and do them again.0 -
Best option here is to create a tech support case (via the link in my profile) and send us your log files, which can be generated via the steps here:
