v11.1 - Exlamation marks - How to locate multiple images?

I just upgraded to 11.1.

I have an older catalog with 4000 scanned TIFs from film, and my drive letter (external HDD) had changed since i reinstalled Windows. In all my other catalogs i (re)located the new drive letter (with C1pro v10) - no problem.

With this catalog and v11.1 after the relocation, it only found 3000 images. The other 1000 are on the drive and there's nothing wrong with them. The problem is that C1 doesn't see the pictures - i have many many exclamation marks. I can locate the images one by one manually, but that's crazy - i'm not doing that for 1000 images.

How do i solve my issue fast?

    Easiest way is to allocate a permanent drive letter.

    Make sure that the Disk is attached to the PC

    * Right-click the Windows Icon on the Task Bar and select Disk Management
    * Right-click on the Disk in the list and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths..."
    * Change the Drive Letter to the one you want

    This will ensure that the particular Drive Letter will be allocated every time you reattach the drive.

    The procedure you suggested, i do every time i have a new Windows install. It's just that this time it happened to be drive H: instead of the original M:

    I could've changed it in Windows back to M:, but in my other two C1 catalogs everything was already reallocated to H:, and it took a hell of a time (at least 30min for 10k images). I figured i'll change it in this catalog to H:, and in the future keep the drive letter H: in Windows.

    Now i have the issue that 1000 images need to be reallocated. The other 3000 images from the *same* folder C1 managed to reallocate. C1 did mess up and now i'm stuck with 3/4 reallocated folder and 1/4 missing. ☹️

    Is there no option in C1 to locate multiple missing images? Lightroom had this, AFAIK, from version 1!

    Thanks, but i don't need to change my drive letter. Did you read my whole post?

    I need to locate multiple images (ca. 1000) in C1, which the catalog has "lost". These images reside in the same folder that the catalog does recognize.

    EDIT: I'm realizing now that it was probably a bot. Do the moderators here sleep on their job?? 🙄

    I have no idea about any of that. I know you asked how to change the pointer in C1 but the suggestion from other users is to instead restore the drive letter to the one that your HD had before. Thereby fixing your entire problem in just a few clicks.

    I personally have no idea how to tell C1 to look over here instead of over there. I would solve a problem like that just as suggested.

    I've encountered the exact same situation (as sveto) after replacing an older external HDD with a newer external SSD. The only differences are driver letter mapping (R - old HDD and E - new SSD) and the physical drive. I've noticed that older images which originally had been used by LR prior to me moving to C1 - It appears I have to individually locate/find each image on the new drive.

    Images that have only been imported into C1 seem to have handled the global change.

    If I do a synch then I get double the files - one with the "offline" status still pointing to the old Drive location and then the same file with the new drive location.
