Tethered shooting w backup hd?
I'm new so I might have missed it. I'd like to shoot to the catalog but also to an external hs for BU. Similar to importing images and specifying a BU hs. What am I missing?? Thanks

Sorry about the auto typing error. Hs is suppose to be Hd for Hard drive.. May you can't do it tethered but that can't be, I really think Im missing something simple. Thanks for your thoughts 0 -
Greetings!
So - this is actually not a feature that Capture One (or any other software I'm familiar with) supports.
You can automatically make backups when importing images from memory cards, but it's never been an option to auto backup to a second drive when shooting tethered.
Personally I simply have a copy of ChronoSync running on my machine and I make backups to an external drive at regular intervals during the shoot.0 -
Thanks for the reply. I know Aperture could do it...but that doesnt help now. I'll try your suggestion and do incremental back ups during the shoot. Thanks. david 0 -

Turn on Time Machine. It will automatically back everything up every hour.0 -
Write a quick backup action using Automator, I automatically back up my images whilst shooting on location to a USB flash drive. 0 -

An excellent workflow that we highly recommend. I've used that for years and it's never let me down.
