Upgrading v8 catalog to 9 is it working?
I have a fairly large catalog in v8.3; Images stored outside of catalog... When launching catalog (v8x) in v9 - the program starts with the dialogue box "do you want to upgrade the catalog" - when "yes" is clicked on - it starts to load, with the dialog box " loading" runs for a short while, then returns dialogue box that the program is " unable to open Capture One Catalog "Capture One" - explaining in the dialog box that "Error: the document that Capture One was trying to open was created with older version. It needs to be updated." - The dialog box shows a button "OK" - when clicked on... the dialog box disappears, and there seems to be a 3mb I/O activity on the disc every 2-3 seconds, with the C1P 9x showing just the blank default screen.
The question is; by clicking "OK" is C1P converting the catalog in the background? - I have left it running over the last couple days for a period of 9-12 hours at a time - and it is not clear if in the background C1P is intelligently upgrading the catalog...
As an update, when C1P v9 is "closed" the application continues to run in the background still sipping 3MB every 3 seconds or so... Is it continuing to work in the background intelligently updating the catalog?
Confused...
