overwrite and subfolders

    Hi,

    1) The best way to achieve this is to use Smart Albums. These Albums search through all session folders. You can make a parent folder and its subfolders each a Session Favorite. On Mac this can be done quickly by dragging a folder from Finder onto the Favorites section.

    2) This is also only possible through a workaround. Overwriting is not in the nature of Capture One, although I understand the requirement. Workaround: in the process recipe I add a subfolder (File tab, Sub Folder field) for the repeated processing and move the images to its parent folder, overwriting the older version.

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for you suggestions 😊

    1. I am not using the folders within the session but random folders on the harddrive. It's like using Adobe Bridge. I haven't found a way yet ☹️

    2. yeah that's what I am using right now... it's really time consuming

    1. As long as the folders are set up as favourites for the session the smart albums approach should still work. AFAIK.]

    2. Perhaps there is a way to use this approach (I do something similar to Paul's suggestion when needed) that reduces the time required. Looking at the workflow options may help.

My personal preference is to not have the possibility of an accidental overwrite ... especially when using multiple varints.

But my re-process occurrence numbers are typically quite low. (Partly because is I see something I am not happy with I may have the to fix in multiple images and so I will just reprocess the entire set!)
