My Nikon D2X is not recognized
The others programs : lightroom , Helicon , Camera control Pro 2 are OK0 -
Hi Denis,
Regarding your D2X, it is not a surprise you can not connect tethered to CO7: it is not supported. See CO7 release notes for details on supported cameras. There has been a workaround for CO6, not sure it applies to CO7 as well.

The D800 is supported since the release of 7.0. I strongly advice you to update to the latest versions. You could browse this forum for tips on D800 connection issues, like removing the memory card.
I am not using a Nikon camera but hopefully Nikon user can chime in and respond.
You could also open a support case with Phase One for help.

Hi Denis,
Regarding the D800E:
- is there any other program that connects to the camera; if so, close or disconnect before you start CO7; this can easily happen with a memory (CF, SD) card in the camera
- CO 7.1.3 is indeed the latest as of today
- you can look in Device Manager whether the camera is recognised
- maybe a camera setting is required to connect successfully for tethering (Canon had this option in the past, not familiar with Nikon).0 -
Denis,
Are you perhaps running the DB version of Capture One? If so ...
For Nikon recognition you may need the Pro version - or Express if you are happy with a reduced feature set from the software.

Good point. You need PRO. Express will not do tethering.0 -

An even better point Paul. I had missed (despite reading your earlier responses) the significance of tethering.

Hi Denis,
The camera selection in the preferences is in the Leaf Capture Configuration section and does not apply (it is for Leaf Aptus backs). You can keep it to the default Not Selected (but again: it does not apply).
Important on the same page in Preference is the Enabled Tethered Support section. It should have Nikon box checked. Optionally you can deselect other camera brands.
It is important to note that no other software connects to the camera at the same time as Capture One does. For example prevent Camera Control from Nikon, or Lightroom to connect. Make sure that other software is not running.0 -
Thanks Paul,
In preference Enabled Tethered Support section. I have Just 2 choices "Leaf" and "Mamiya" . No Nikon and no Canon
I downloaded the version "CaptureOne.v7.1.3.exe" with the link:
https://www.phaseone.com/en/Downloads/C ... Pro-7.aspx?
and direct download is :

Thank you for your help

Then you are running CO7 as DB, not as Pro. As DB there is no DSLR support. Note it is the same download.
Deactivate through Capture One menu, License. Restart as Pro in trial mode.0 -
Hello Paul,
And thank you very much now my Nikon is recognized.
I have a small question how adjust capture-one-seven-Pro for shooting with studio flash?
I setting the speed of 1/125 second and aperture of f/16 and "live-view" is black.
Again thank you for your help
sincerely Denis0 -
Hi Denis,
Good to hear your D800 is connecting to CO Pro 7. Regarding Live View all that matters is the aperture, the amount of continuous light (is there a bulb for continuous light in your studio flash? If yes, switch it on) and the ISO setting.
Shutter speed does not apply during Live View
I suggest you open your aperture, increase the amount of continuous light or set your ISO higher (for testing; you might want to use low ISO in the studio for the real image).0 -
Hello Paul,
Thank you for all you are great.
If I understand with Capture One Pro-7-I can not screw and shoot straight into the studio.
In the studio I think the easiest way is to do my settings in P mode and then switch to M mode for shooting.
I'll try it
still miles thank you
best regards
