Size limit Media Pro
Hi, I am trying to put my photographical database (raw, jpg, video etc..) into Media Pro. The problem is that I have not found the info about its limit size, yet.
Yesterday I tried to transfer 437.000 items (3 GB) and the software is still working on them... no sign of life till now 😭
Does anybody know if it is too much? Where should I look to know the precise limit size?
Thanks in advance

De size limits of Expression Media 2 and iView Media Pro (the predecessors of Media Pro) were:
- Every catalog can contain 128000 files
- Every catalog can grow at max 2 Gb, this is aprox. 200 Gb data
However, these limits should not be applicable anymore...
You could test smaller bits of data in one run, not all 3 Gb in one time.
When did you start this?
In the old days it could easy take some days to process much data. In the mean time, don't 'touch' the application.
You can folow the status by pushing this button:

I cannot give you a definitive answer, but at least up to a year or so ago the program *used* to crash (hang) if you tried to import too many images at one time. Once the images were in, though, it had no problem. Unfortunately, I can't remember the limiting number was, and I can't even be sure it was always the same. This was clearly a bug, and may have been corrected. Watch the Catalog size in the lower left corner to see if Media Pro is still importing. I don't think it ever pauses for more than a few seconds unless it is finished or something is hanging. 0
