Canon 1DIIN needs support from C1
I know the position of Phase One is fourth quater but for those of is holding projects from clients waiting for the update is there anyway we could have an official best & worst case timing so we can have more information to descide to wait or not. I prefer to wait just want to tell my clients something beter than Q4 or sometime in november. Please help guide us.

There are options that allow you to get your jobs to your customers in the absence of C1 support. I'm not a fan of DPP but in a pinch it will convert your RAW files. I have recently bought RSP and it does a pretty good job but it has it's own challenges being a startup.
I'm certainly not coming to the defence of Phase One. If they were more customer focussed they would have had this out by now. I can only hope that the delay will result in excellent quality assurance and that I won't have to go through the hassle I did in 3.7 Pro. It kept crashing and they kept telling us there were no problems. Funny how they came out with a maintenance release that fixed that.
Personally, I am not expecting a final product here until January sometime. We may see a release before that but if history holds true we will need a maintenance release to fix it.0 -
DPP is very slow to work with when your dealing with 1000's of images which I do. For a few it's fine but I much prefer the workflow of C1. RSP while good does not have to look as you need to fiddle with too many controls. RSP needs a mode where there are fewer choices for speed of the edit. I guess I'm so used to C1 and find the workflow easy and the results fine. 0
