Making the big leap…..
OK, I have found the most stable combination of OS 10.8.5 and CO 6.45 works GREAT (with some hiccups:). I am now ready to delve into CO 7. Can anyone chime in with their MOST STABLE combination (THEORETICALLY, they should all be stable:) working with CO 7.
I work with a MBP 2.2 ghz 16gb ram and SSD hd. Any opinions?

I would prefer OS X 10.9.5 with CO Pro 7.2.4 if that helps you. 0 -
Thanks Paul, I do tether with a 5d mk3. Have heard of any tethering issues with your suggested system and C1 combination? 0 -

No, not that I am aware of. 0 -
Paul, this is CRAZY, but I am unable to get Mavericks! I can get every single update except the most important one 10.9.0…….
So, how is Yosemite working out?0 -
Mark,
I would stay away a moment from Yosemite. And before other readers chime in saying Yosemite is fine (I use it myself), I do not regard this yet as the most stable setup, as Mark in his initial post made very clear.
Do you mean you can not get Mavericks from the AppStore? Please reference:

I"m using Capture One 7 and Yosemite. Yosemite is evil. It is not very stable and keeps crashing. *tears hair out in frustration*

Phase One have said that Version 7 is not designed to work with Yosemite; in fact even version 8.0 was not designed to work with Yosemite. But I'm a happy user of Yosemite with version 8.1. If you can manage the upgrade to 8.1, it's worth it in my view.
