100% and quality Viewing while processing...?
Hello all..
I have just switched from CS til Capture one, so bear with me..
When I was working on a raw image in PS I used to turn it up to 100% occationally to see the actual effects as I was working. In Capture One I have no idea when the zoom is near the 1 to 1 ratio..! And the quality of the viewed image very quickly becomes poor and pixelated.
Shouldn´t the quality of the image shown as we apply changes give us a close-to accurate idea of how our changes looks..? Iike in PS. I thought that was as certain as Amen in the church ..
Am I missing something or is the viewed image just not better as we apply changes....??
And does anyone know at what percentage the image gets pixelated and poor..?
I really hope I am wrong...!!
Thanks..
Kenny

Kenny,
The file size of the Preview depends on the camera used, but it is a Preview and is low resolution. This size has decreased and then increased again through the versions due to photographer's requests.
The best analyses of image adjustments is done using the Focus Tool and viewing the Focus Utility display.
This displays the actual RAW-processed area that is selected from the image.
Amen, 😉

Sometimes I shoot a fast series of shots, several per second, and try to pick the sharpest between them. With the sharpen tool I loose track because when I move it on a certain spot in the image, e.g. the eye, and then click the next image, the position of the sharpening tool is reset. Until I click with the eye dropper on the eye in the next image I've already lost track of the subtle difference. For me this poses quite a problem.
Better yet would be a comparison in 1:1 with simulatenous panning and optional locking. Hopefully it will be added soon... 😎
