Have you tried changing the settings for hardware acceleration in the General section of Preferences?

Unfortunately, I can't help, but I have a similar experience. The screen blows out and I can't see what's happened for say, 5 seconds until it settles down.

However, in my case if happens on occasional files - and I can't work out a pattern. Size isn't a factor, and neither is format: I've seen it happen with raw files and JPEGs.

Very odd - and very annoying.

I've been in contact with Phase One over this, but they've come back with nothing.

    Regards

I have the same problem. I tried the suggested change to the hardware acceleration window with no change. This issue does not appear in every image, it seems to be random, and the screen brightens briefly while making an adjustment. It ceases when the adjustment is completed, however, I cannot observe the adjustments as they are being made leaving me to guess when to stop the adjustment.

It may be time to file a Support Ticket with Phase One.

    Hi
I process my D810 files with no problems whatsoever...there are other C1 bugs I'd like to see fixed.
    Regards,
    Mark

I have installed 10.1 and it appears that the problem is resolved with the new version. I have not used it a lot, but the problem does not appear in the few images I have adjusted.

I suggest you look at the preview cache size. For the iMac 5K I suggest to use the highest value of 5120px. Next, select all images and regenerate the previews (from the File menu).
