Version 5 should open these ok. I have version 6 using the last but one update 6.2.1. I use the pro version but express should be ok, just has less functions. The release notes show support for virtually all Canon models (including 10D and 20D) that create raw files. I can open .CR2 files (20D) and also .CRW files (300D). Are your files the original raw or out of camera/or processed jpegs? If you have jpeg or tiff files you should check under menu bar edit/preferences/image that jpeg and tiff editing check boxes are ticked. Hope this helps.

All versions, certainly from version 3 LE, will process 10D 20D raw images. I cannot think of a reason why your version will not. There may be problems with the raw files if they have been edited with other raw converters which have not preserved the original file unchanged. You should raise a support case with phase one to get expert advice. You can maybe trial the latest version to see if a fresh install will work. If you do try this and have windows 7 use the 6.2.1 version from the phase one download page under archive versions. Do not try the latest 6.2.2 which can cause problems to the windows 7 system. I would think though that the problem is with the image files, not the version of capture one.

I can also confirm that the latest version certainly opens my 20D files ok.

I DO have images that i took with my old cameras canon 10D and 20D long time ago.Now i can't open with CO5.

Can you be more specific on what it means that you can not open files?

Capture One 4, 5 and 6 up to the latest version can open Canon 10D and 20D files. General tip: check the release notes for a list of supported camera model's raw files.
