Where is the setting file that tell C1 to run open CL
    So i Can remove it

Open your ~/Library thus: Finder --> Go --> "Option" --> Library

    Then go to ~/Library/Preferences

The file you want to delete is: com.phaseone.captureone8.plist

    I share your frustration.

One needs to be strategic to deal with it.

    What I have done is:
    • Turned off Metada sync with XMP sidecar once the imports from aperture are complete. AFAIK that means metadata is stored in the Catalog file database, and that's where I want it to to be.

    • Avoid selecting the all images folder

    • Use a separate, smaller, catalog for imports and working files

    • Set preview to 2560 to limit RAM requirements

    • CL for display=OFF (ON slows things down)

    • CL for processing = ON

    • Turned off all the providers for Image Capture

    For big Jobs
    • Turn off antivirus

    • Turn off Dropbox

    • Turn off file sharing
