write catalog sets back to image?

hello

I have some catalog sets (jobs, people...) I'd like to write into the metadata of the images. But this won't work!?! Do I have to put all into (hierarchical) keywords? That would be strange - double work.

Or am I missing something?

  ok, what I found out is that there is no way without a script. JavaScript or VBScript.
  
  Next 3 questions:
  - anyone knows about a script that reads all catalogue data?
  - should one write all the data in the comment field or in the keywords field?
  - and how can one find out, what the entry means? Ex: name of a person could also be name of the job. so would it be a good practice to write people - name surname?
  
  Any suggestions/ideas?
