Quickly Switching Between Browser/Viewer Mode
Am I the only one on this planet that has issues with being unable to double click to switch between a browser and viewer mode? And being able to arrow through our photos in viewer mode? It can be done easily in Media Pro, Aperture, Lightroom, and nearly every other photo editor/manager written, why can this not be done in CO7?
What inefficient method is everyone using to scroll through their photos full screen without image browser bricks at the bottom of the page using a single monitor?
There isn't even a keyboard shortcut for showing/hiding the Viewer. That is all that is needed, one simple shortcut. I am told there are no plans for it and no one has ever asked for it. Why? What is everyone doing that warrants not needing this vital and simple shortcut?

I stay in browser mode and hit apple T to hide the tools palette. Almost everything I look at is vertical so I have the thumbnails place on the right and then it doesn't disturb the main image size. If it's horizontal it's just apple shift R I think to place them at the bottom. 0 -
CMD + T and then CMD + B hides both tools tabs and browser window - effectively a Viewer! Works a treat. 0 -
80% of the time I am using 2 monitors - even on location - so the 2nd monitor gets the viewer and the monitor is rotated horizontally or vertically depending on the image final use. 0 -
I kind of agree with the OP that Aperture and others are more intuitive here. In Aperture, you simply hit "V" repeatedly and it toggles you through 3 view modes (browser, image with browser strip, image only) and it's much better IMHO than a cmd key requirement and two different ones at that. It would be nice to be able to choose a "toggle key" (pick a letter, any letter) that lets you rotate through views. 0 -
I suppose that hitting two keys might take a little longer but the benefits of using capture one instead of Aperture / LR5 far outweighs for 90% of the shoots I digi on. Once you use it every day and you have set up your own shortcuts etc it all flows very nicely! 0
