Synchronising a folder does not work
When synchronising a Library folder (i.e. because I exported a .psd version and want to see that in C1) nothing happens.
Procedure: I select a visible folder in the Library, i.e. "2017", richt click and select Synchronise ... > I get the Synchronise popup, as expected, with a number of newly discovered images, as expected. When I select 'Sync', I get to the importer (if selected as an option in the previous screen) with the new images, again as expected.
When I select 'import all', the import screen disappears and nothing happens, no import.
C1 seems to think that some importing has taken place because when I re-sync (see procedure above) there are no 'new' images found.
When I re-start C1 and sync again (see above procedure) the importer does see the same new images (the same as before), but again nothing happens on import. For me, this is a serious issue

I suggest to contact support and file the issue. 0 -
I see the same and some other issues with the "sync folder" command as well. Has been reported as case 272357 including a video demonstrating the issue.

I'm finding something similar. However, Sync always works for me the second time I try (no restarting C1 between). I'll file a support case. 0 -
I contacted support indeed, but was curious if I was the only one with the issue.
My workaround is to open the picturefile in finder, then opening wit C1. Then it is indeed imported. Bit of a handful though0 -
Support got back to me promptly and I think we solved my issue.
I'm a beta tester, and they suggested that I uninstall and then reinstall v11. I did that, but instead of uninstalling everything I left the C1 folder in ~/Library/Application Support intact except that I removed the Batch folder inside.
Also, I'd been beta testing with a duplicate of my v10 catalog. So thinking that the test catalog might have problems, I made a fresh Finder copy of my C1 10 catalog, opened/upgraded it in C1 11, then upgraded the processing engine for all images to 11's engine. I then tried syncing several folders several times and each time sync (add and/or remove) images worked properly.
Maybe this will help others in this thread.0 -
ok, thanks for the tip, I will try this. [quote="Nature Isme" wrote:

BTW: It's not just if you beta tested; they indicated that even having two release versions on the same partition could cause problems. I've beta'd several versions and not had a problem like this, but they do warn against parallel installations in the beta instructions. 0
