Upgrade from C1 8 to 9 under subscription

I have c1 v8 for E8 per month. The new v9 is E12. Isn't there an upgrade plan for subscribers too?

I thought the lower value was an introductory offer and the intended price for 8, without the offer, is the same as for 9. 0 -
Yes the 8 Euro price was an introductory offer, the 12 Euro subscription is the normal price [plus VAT]. Quite good value when you think you don't have to buy the full product initially and upgrades are in the region of 99 Euros every year or so [without subscription]. 0 -

But after running C1 v9 I do not see a real reason to upgrade. Starts faster? OK, not worth. Some keywords games? Still not fully integrated with MP. OK, not worth.
The ultimate shame is the new graphic engine modifying the way my old images look. Let's say I have v6 old images. I cannot see them as I wanted. Can someone explain the logic? And please do not bring in the "technological advance" in. We are dealing in PHOTOGRAPHY, which is ART...
So, in the long run, after bout two years (v10 maybe) I am not sure what to call good economics....

I think you should find that existing images retain the use of the processing engine they were originally processed with unless you deliberately change to the new engine for that particular image.

My error and apology! I went back to photos from 2009 and the written text says engine v6. Let's hope and believe that ALL parameters are kept.
