Tutorial videos open in internet explorer and they should be opening in the system default browser like all the other links in the program.

Hi,
I second this. This is annoying. It seems that nothing can be done on the user's side since the call to IE appears to be hard-coded.0 -
Agreed, but the best option here is to create a tech support case (via the link in my profile) and send us this request so we can formally address it and log the user demand for the change. 0 -

Have you got IE turned off in Control Panel/All Control Panel Items/Programs and Features/Turn Windows features on or off?
I have on my machine so will check what happens on my machine in an hour or so and report back.0 -

Ah well!! I wondered why the ones on the splash screen never ran for me - now I know - it is because I have internet explorer disabled. 🤭0 -

No trouble running the Tutorial videos on youtube on Firefox, it's just the links on the splash screen (which you may have switched off) that will not open.0 -
Ahh ok!
So, i have a feeling the splash screen is a html page, which is utilising explorer (edge)0 -

Yes, it is an HTML page but this shouldn't imply that the browser must be IE.
Actually, the splash window is embedding IE as a COM component. It's easy to see this using a window spy : the splash screen belongs to the "Internet Explorer_server" class. So, when the splash screen is loaded, you are already in IE (in its COM object form). Just right-click in the page : you'll get almost the same context menu as in Internet Explorer. You can even click "View source" to see the source code of the page.
When you click on a link in that page that specifies "new window", since the page is already loaded in IE, it will open a new IE window, this time using the actual IE browser (which itself uses IE as a COM component, by the way).
There is nothing to do against this beside copying the link (Right-click | Copy shortcut) and pasting it in the address bar of your favorite browser.
In order to have these tutorials opened in the default browser, the splash window has to be rewritten from scratch. Guess what ? I don't think this request will ever reach the top of the priority list.0
