Did you sync to XMP?
yes i did .
i am using Capture One alone. in the capture folder " Session" there are Xmp files are been build up from C1.
in the C1 left bare " Metadata" , under IPTC- image, i could write a Text inside Location, but i can't delate it after,
when i delate them , they came back after secound .
i traid a externel EXFI editor the information are not showing in the ITPC feld .
C1 are using spacial own IPTC Standrad ?0 -
i can only write Metadata in IPTC feld but i can't delated them !
i dont anderstand how c1 works with Metadata ! i read the Help construction there is no Help for me.
normally, i could that in V 8 before with the same situation i have now, but sudenlly in C1 9,1 and 2 not any moor !
i am using C1 alone to my workfolw , do i have to build the XMP files or not
how dos this prozess general works in C1 ?
thanks !0 -

As far as I know, C1 uses XMP files for exchanging metadata with other applications. If C1 is the only application, you should not need XMP-files.
I am not able to reproduce the issue you reported here. Deleting IPTC data appears to work as expected. But note that my use is C1 sessions on a Windows PC, and I only tested images with NEF files from camera and metadata sync switched off.
Could your issue be related to you using DNG, TIFF or JPG where C1 is allowed to write IPTC to the image file first and next restoring metadata by (auto-)reloading from an older XMP-file?0 -
